| LORRAINE HOWARD BIO PAGE |

| Singer: Lorraine began singing at age 4 in her home church, Oakey Swamp Baptist in Conway, SC. Her mother was the church pianist. She sang as a soloist, choir member, children's choir leader, and assistant youth choir director. She visited many churches throughout the years as a guest soloist, and after she became the mother of twins, she carried them with her, and taught them to sing, and they touched the hearts of many. Her late husband, Tommy Hucks, was a professional musician, and she was blessed to share many hours developing her talent under his influence. In 2007, Lorraine felt a special call to make a CD of favorite songs that have blessed her audience for years. She knew nothing of how to accomplish this, but God made a way, and she soon found her CD ministering in places where she could not be herself. Songwriter: God rewarded this leap of faith with a new gift of writing songs. She has penned around 100 songs in 2 years. She gives God all the credit for her song writing and feels a burning desire to sing and record these songs. She feels that God gives each song for a reason, and knows He has specific persons in mind to which each song will minister. She has thus far recorded 2 more Cd's which include 21 original songs, and has hired professional musicians to make soundtracks for 24 more songs that she prays she will be able to make into 2 more Cd's. She is singing the songs publicly meanwhile. Personal: Lorraine is happily married to Donny Howard who helps her faithfully in her music ministry. They share 3 children: Brandon Hucks, Lora Long & her husband Jessie, and Damien Howard & fiancé Carrie Crigger ; and 2 grandchildren: Tyler and Makinlei Long. Lorraine is a lifelong member of Oakey Swamp Baptist Church and frequently visits Ringel Heights Baptist in her new hometown, Georgetown, SC. Lorraine works as a nurse and had the privilege of working with cancer and Hospice for about a year. She has a special heart for the hospice patient and their family, and has written many songs to provide hope and comfort in this challenging situation. She utmostly prays that God will provide a way for her to record a Hospice CD. |
